, HWL will hold it's first ever "
Up-cycling Drive
," to collect recycled items for CAH's H.E.A.R.T. program ("Healing Emotions through Arts & Recreation Together"). Please stop by any of our
drop-off locations

) to contribute your clean glass jars, old t-shirts, glass beads, old or broken crayons/colored pencils, fabric scraps and other items (for a complete list, see:

). These supplies will be used for children's craft projects, to provide them with a constructive/creative outlet...and it's a great way to clean out your drawers and cabinets for a worthy cause! For more information, please contact Maria Calderon at

CAH's Pinao Program is seeking volunteer guest speakers to lead interactive talks and/or workshops at CAH (200 N. Vineyard Blvd), any
Wednesday from 3-4 pm
. With the assistance of community volunteers, the Pinao Program teaches CAH clients (primarily ages 13-19)
important life skills
, such as goal-setting, job-interview preparation, stress- and/or time-management, college/career preparation, and healthy relationships (for details, see:

).
