By special holiday-request, HWL will once again be heading-up the facepainting festivities at Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii's newly-revamped "Brunch with Santa" event, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 (at Japanese Cultural Center).
There will only be one shift this year, with everyone volunteering from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, and lunch will be provided afterwards, if you'd like to stay for the children's "fashion show" (12:30 - 1:30pm). No experience or "artistic talent" is necessary, and all enthusiastic volunteers are welcome!
Please note, because there are only a limited number of volunteer-spaces available this year, we will start a waitlist once all spaces are filled. For more information, please contact Tricia Nakamatsu (prish@juno.com).
P.S. Brunch With Santa is not only an important fundraiser for PCAH, but also a chance for many children who have been victims of abuse--and/or removed from abusive households--to truly be children, to enjoy a day of fun and games, and of course, to visit Santa! Every year, PCAH sets aside a number of complimentary tickets for designated children and/or foster parents. Please contact Aileen Deese at adeese@preventchildabusehawaii.org to inquire about sponsoring a ticket(s).
