In keeping with HWL's support of women's reproductive rights--and encouraging women to take on positions of leadership--we are forwarding this
announcement
for an event being hosted by the Patsy T. Mink Political Action Committee. Founded in 2004, by (now-)Senator Mazie Hirono, the PTM PAC supports pro-choice female candidates who are running for public office. Many female legislators supported by PTM PAC are also past HWL awardees.
This year--for their 10th Anniversary Celebration--the PTM PAC will honor Senator Hirono, and present a JEM award to Peggy Egan, Hawaii's advisor for EMILY's List. The event will be held at the Pacific Club on Saturday, September 6, 2014, and will also feature great food & entertainment!
